Trains at Carlisle, WCML, 25/07/2026
I arrived onboard the 125 Groups fantastic HST set which worked The Citadel Circle tour from Manchester Victoria which I rode from York, and would ride to Sheffield later on, worked by 43159 âRio Warriorâ in its Midland Mainline Rio livery & 43025 âExeterâ in InterCity Swallow colours.
As well as the HST, there was a few other things passing through the station, including an intermodal train hauled by a pair of Freightliner Class 90s, and later on there was another pair of 90s on a light move to Rugby. It was also nice to see Lumos new West Coast services kicking about with their fleet of Class 222s.
Other trains include the usual mix of passenger services from Avanti, TPE & Northern.
