After a trip on the Churnet Valley Railway today, we headed to Crewe to witness D345 making its comeback on a test run with 37685 'Loch Arkaig' taking the pair back to Carnforth. The plan was for the 40 to run around however apparently it blew a traction motor at Hartford so the 37 led back on the return.

Also seen are ROG Class 93s at on shed Gresty Bridge and the iconic Advanced Passenger Train at the Crewe Heritage Centre. | 01.07.2026
