WCML Freight & Charter Trains at Bamfurlong - 14th December 2024

An interesting morning of freight and railtour action seen heading along the west coast main line and through Bamfurlong south of Wigan on the morning of Saturday 14th December 2024 in some rather awkward lighting conditions.

We get some nice variety on show here with classes 43,66,68,88. A light engine move up first before the containers pass north. Then the always stunning Blue Midland Pullman set on the Christmas market train from Watford to Edinburgh before the southbound containers and cement pass through.

A lovely 45 minutes in the cold. I did miss a light engine 70 that ran early too. Saturday mornings can often offer some fun and today was no exception.
