57308 at Bamfurlong - 20th October 2024
Sunday 20th October 2024.
The class 57 was originally dispatched from Crewe to Preston to act as a thunderbird unit for Avanti West Coast Class 390, 390122 "Penny the Pendolino".
The 390 couldn't get the pantograph up this morning so required a 57 to provide air and power to get it up I later found out. A trip out that didn't quite go to plan.
The 390 then went to London empty on late running
