86401 at Bamfurlong - Northern Belle Settle & Carlisle Special - 07th October 2021
She was working the first leg of "Northern Belle Settle & Carlisle Special" from Coventry to Carlisle but the 86 would be detached at Carnforth for LNER Peppercorn Class A1 60163 Tornado. This was the first revenue run for the loco and I was shocked and delighted to get the news she was on this tour. The very regular sight of 57601 was tucked away at the rear. She should run south leading the train on the return leg.
The train was running pretty fast here through a very dull quiet. My apolagies for the shaky camera work I had my arm agaisnt the fence in not the sweet spot but I hope you can enjoy the video regardless.
I have linked below my shot of the 86 back in February 2020 on her delivary run to "WCR" at Wigan.
