GWR Castle Class Sets around Devon 17-18/02/2025
Although the HSTs don't often visit the Dawlish area anymore, one working is in place for a Castle Set on most days not including Sunday to go from Penzance to Exeter St Davids.
With these very few Sets remaining around Devon, the Castle Sets will soon be withdrawn from Service and 175s on lease to GWR will be taking over.
I was very fortunate to see these HSTs while they are still around and high hopes are for these Sets to have a good future either at Heritage Railways or overseas.
I couldn't get the last shot of the HSTs leaving Plymouth as my train from Plymouth was due to leave.
