47813 & 47815 at Bamfurlong - 17th February 2023

A pair of West Coast Railways Class 47 locomotives, numbered 47813 and 47815, are seen operating near Bamfurlong, south of Wigan. The footage captures the locomotives heading south on a light engine move from Carnforth to Burton. The train was running roughly on time and appeared in good condition during the windy morning. The locomotives were later reported to work weekend relief services between Peterborough and London Victoria following a closure on the line to King's Cross. A headcode of 0Z59 is associated with the movement.
