47810 Passes Springs Branch - 05th February 2026
The class 47 locomotive was hauling a rake of coaches on a heavily delayed stock move from the Severn Valley Railway at Kidderminster to Carlisle via Blackburn and Settle.
20096 & 20107 hauled the train to Crewe were after arriving a few minutes late they apparently were deemed as failures and taken off with the depot at Crewe yards away. 47810 was then attached and bolted on for the rest of the journey.
A massive shame as id of much preferred the 20s

A Class 47 locomotive, numbered 47810, is seen heading north along the West Coast Main Line and through Springs Branch. The locomotive was hauling a train of coaches on a delayed service from the Severn Valley Railway at Kidderminster to Carlisle via Blackburn and Settle. Earlier, locomotives 20096 and 20107 were involved in the journey but were later removed due to issues, with 47810 taking over for the remainder of the trip. The train included several MK3 coaches and was operated by Locomotive Services Limited.
