Description
LMS Jubilee Steam Locomotives 45596 & 45690 head north along the west coast main line and through Wigan station on the dull afternoon of Thursday 28th April 2022. The pair were working a double engine move from Barry Tourist Railway near Cardiff back home to Carnforth having ran the previous day on Day Six of the Great Britain XIV railtour around the UK from Grange-over-Sands to Cardiff via Chester and the scenic Heart of Wales line.

The train was running around 17 early here having been none stop from Crewe and didn't do a stop here as what was listed on RTT happily. I missed that yesterday as I am currently on a course so daytime midweek shots are going to be a rare one for the next month or so from myself.

This was a very nice one to film with the steam locos giving it some to climb up Boars Head from a stop at Springs Branch.
