LMS Jubilee 4-6-0 number 45690 "Leander" is seen passing through Bamfurlong on the wet afternoon of Saturday 15th July 2023. The steam locomotive was working a light engine & support coach move from Carnforth to Crewe in preparation for The North Wales Coast Express (Railway Touring Company) from Liverpool Lime Street to Holyhead the following day.

The train had lots of stand time and even stopped as booked in Wigan platform 1 to let an Avanti service overtake.
