X4 Rail Adventure HST Drags 769006 - 10th April 2025
The quartet of 43s were hauling a pair of barrier coaches and a class 769 unit Eastriggs M.O.D. to Crewe electric depot. The consist was 43484 with 43465 leading then ex-Motorail van "Henry and 769006 followed sandwiched by another motorail van "Phillip finally 43468 and 43480.
Each 43 has I believe 2250hp so which makes i believe 9000 horse power dragging a 769 which has 390KW or 520hp per engine.
Not sure how many 769s are stored in Scotland currently there slowly being brought south. The train was running just over an hour early here having only really used loops at Shap and briefly at Carnforth in which she followed the Avanti south..
