40013 Towing 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley Through Springs Branch - 15th July 2025

Locomotive Services Limited Diesel and Steam convoy action seen heading slowly north along the west coast main line and approaching Wigan on the wet afternoon of Tuesday 15th July 2025.

Class 40013, named "Andania" is seen at the helm of the drag with LNER A4 Steam Locomotive No 60007 running from Crewe to Carlisle so the steamer can work a part of "Edinburgh Summer Explorer" Stoke to Edinburgh tour tomorrow. The A4 steam doing Carlisle to Edinburgh and back runs with a pair of 47s booked onto the rest.

A wonderful sight despite the rain and wind trying it's very best to blur the shot entirely.
