In today’s video we have what is belived to be the fianl jouney for the steam locomotive Stanier Class 8F/48151. Seen today passing Springs Branch tmd at high sped trying to makeup for lost time after picking up delays in Denton greater Manchester. Always nice to record a steam trai. Diesal loco 31128 was supoosed to drag the steam train notth but it never occured.

A steam-hauled train, believed to be the final journey of LMS Stanier Class 8F No. 48151, is seen passing Springs Branch near Wigan at high speed. The locomotive was attempting to make up for delays experienced in Denton, Greater Manchester. Diesel locomotive 31128 was intended to assist the steam train but did not do so. The recorded working was 5Z53 from Burton on Wetmore Sidings to Carnforth Steamtown. The video captures the locomotive at Taylors Lane Spring View in Wigan.
