60532 Blue Peter Steams South Through Bamfurlong | 08th June 2026

LNER Peppercorn Class A2 No. 60532 Blue Peter is a 4-6-2 ("Pacific") steam locomotive is seen speeding south along the west coast main line at Bamfurlong junction south of Wigan on the night of Monday 8th June 2026.

The stunning A2 locomotive was working the return leg of a private railtour seen running here from the Settle & Carlisle line at Langwathby to Crewe with 47810 running the Chester/Crewe sections.

A spur of the moment shot ruined a touch by sun coming back out of clouds at wrong moment. A regular engine to these parts in 2026. Here's a film of her in a better angle at Springs Branch
