The Flying Banana At Bamfurlong 21st August 2019
In today’s video we have a test train formed on a Network Rail HST Set. Class 43s operate this and I just love them and the yellow suits them too. Also known as the Flying Banana. First we had a Northern new CAF unit come in and out of shot on a run from Manchester to Windemere or Barrow.
The iconic "Intercity 125" High Speed Train seen here in Network Rails hands "NMT" or "New Measurement Train" which is a re-purposed short HST set. Seen on Rail checking runs on its regular visit through Wigan
Todays Locos 43013 + 43062
Seen today at Bamfurlong Wigan at 1124 running 1 early
