60021 Thrashes Away From Standing Start - 03rd April 2025
The class 60 locomotive was working the second and final stone train empties from the Kelbits plant at Ashton In Makerfield to Tuebrook Sidings at Edge Hill.
Running very early she was held for a long period which does happen regularly. The bonus is that we get a thrashy loud fast departure as the train is empty and lightly loaded making it easier for the driver.
This locomotive has been glued to this job for months. A annoying but oh so typical almost 50 minute wait despite a potential clear run. I would imagine it's because of how busy Huyton junction is at this time that she doesn't run early often from this point. A fabulous claggy thrash departure with empties.
