Description
LNER Peppercorn Class A2 No. 60532 Blue Peter is a 4-6-2 ("Pacific") steam locomotive is seen heading south along the west coast main line and through a foggy Bamfurlong on the morning of Friday 15th November 2024.

The steam engine was working the return leg of a test run back from Preston to Crewe. Having ran north earlier and used Lostock Hall Junction to reverse into Preston ready for the trip home.

She was in great form here in the gorgeous BR Blue livery. Glad to finally see this engine for the first time. Last time she was booked through hers she failed at Warrington. 57003 "Inter City Railway Society 50th Anniversary 1937 - 2023" at the rear for shunting purposes. 2 locomotives I've never seen before is a cool bonus.

Running 40 late thanks to shunting around Preston PCD then out and back into P7 before going home. Shame the nameplate was on the other side
