33207 & 33029 at Wigan - 04th October 2024
33207 "Jim Martin" and 33029 are seen heading south along the west coast main line and through Wigan North Western on the afternoon of Friday 4th October 2024.
The maroon class 33s were working a Carnforth to London Euston empty coaching stock move ahead of a railtour the following day. Class 33s are very rare workings through the north west so it was a real treat to see a pair flying south running 1 late following a late running Avanti service. Some excellent tones from the driver too. I'm glad 88002 was 90 seconds ish after this going north meaning a better shot of both.
