61306 Mayflower Storms Wigan With Pennine Moors Christmas Cracker - 21st December 2022
The steam locomotive was working the Pennine Moors Christmas Cracker (Saphos Trains) from Leicester to Blackburn with 47805 + 47810 doing the honours to and from Crewe and Mayflower taking north of Crewe. The train would run a circle route heading north through Wigan then heading east through Blackburn around the Todmorden curve and back through Manchester and rejoining lthe main line north of Warrington.
Locomotive Services Group acquired the Steam Dreams Rail Company as well as LNER B1 No. 61306 Mayflower back in June 2022.
Not the planned shot but due to Avanti having multiple late runners this caused poor old Northern to run a late running Liverpol train which only just clears in time here running 5 late and the kettle 2 early. BR Green class 47810 was at the rear today.
