66723 Thrashes Wigan North Western - 17th March 2023
The class 66 was working the late running Rlystone to Leyland stone train. The train seemingly got stuck around Blackburn for an hour before carrying onwards. The train passes here twice due to requiring a change of direction at Springs Branch just around the corner. The Foxes Group Leyland site only has an access point from the south by rail.
The class 66s sound good under power and probably are the most reliable work horse the freight companies have. Thr train really needs the power here from a standing start it's uphill for quite a few miles up and through Wigan.
The official working today 6M28 Rylstone Tilcon (Gbrf) to Leyland B Leyland
