43277 & 43274 at Bamfurlong - 24th May 2023
The Network Rail test train is seen here heading back from Slateford Depot near Edinburgh via Glasgow Central to Crewe with her going back to Derby later on. This train goes north when it runs on Tuesday mornings. Glad to finally see 43277 leading for one.
The train was running 13 early here and in excellent form. Such an iconic sound these wonderful locos make.

A Class 43 HST, numbered 43277 in Colas Rail livery and 43274 in former East Midlands Railway livery, is shown passing through Bamfurlong on the West Coast Main Line south of Wigan. The train was part of a Network Rail test service operating between Slateford Depot near Edinburgh and Crewe, with plans to continue to Derby.
