57306 & 57310 Pass Bamfurlong - 21st June 2024
The stunning 57s were hauling some coaches on a railtour empty move from Burton to Bo'ness in Scotland for a private GBRf staff charter the following day running bang on time here having left Crewe a touch late and late Avanti services causing issues.
The private tour route the next day was,
Motherwell - Edinburgh - Newcastle - York - Leeds and return.
I believe these are just two examples of six former Virgin Trains ‘Thunderbird’ Class 57/3s transferred to GB Railfreight after Direct Rail Services returned them to Porterbrook back to service in June 2023 with GB Railfreight begining leases on 57301, 57303, 57305, 57306 and 57310.

There was a very excited child with some adults stood to my left if you catch any background noise there waves get the friendly tone from the driver.
This is my first sight of the GBRF livery on the 57s and it really does look the part.
