The convoy of class 66s were working an early running Crewe to Carlisle run seen here around 8 early beginning to power towards and over Springs Branch junction with the signal just changing after a Blackpool to Liverpool northern service had crossed the line.
66565 was leading 66590, 66572 and 66509 here. 509 wearing the Freightliner Genesee & Wyoming orange and yellow livery. That partnership has ended I believe. The rest were in the classic standard green.

A convoy of four Class 66 locomotives, operated by Freightliner, is seen heading north along the West Coast Main Line and through Springs Branch south of Wigan. The locomotives, numbered 66565, 66590, 66572, and 66509, were working a Crewe to Carlisle service. The footage captures the train approaching and passing over the Springs Branch junction after a Blackpool to Liverpool Northern service had crossed the line. Some locomotives are shown in Freightliner's Genesee & Wyoming livery, while others remain in standard green.
