British Railways green liveried 47815 and West Coast Railways liveried 57316 are seen heading north along the west coast main line and through the Springs Branch area south of Wigan on the afternoon of Wednesday 30th March 2022. The “WCR” pair of locos were heading back to their home north base at Carnforth from Southall having worked on a railtour. The train was crawling here having been held at Golborne for 1C72 she was chasing her and got the caution signal to proceed.
