WCML Steam Thrills 5029 Nunney Castle Pursuit
This is due to Network Rail having weather warning and safety stuff in place. The test runs were running from Crewe to Preston with reversals at Lostock Hall Junction.
The overhaul and rebuild on ex GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 5029 "Nunney Castle", has now been completed as the locomotive is now operational again which is amazing to see it for my first time ever.
Built at Swindon Works in 1934, 5029 is a Great Western Railway Castle Class locomotive named after a small castle near Frome, Somerset. Nunney Castle enjoyed periods of mainline activity up until 2015.
I did post 2 of these clips yesterday but I thought I'd make a bumper video completing the set.
Not been upto Boars Head since pre COVID. Didn't quite get the perfect shot and a naf panning effort.
