90002 & 34046 Braunton With The Lakelander Railtour at Bamfurlong - 09th April 2022
Today we get 2 shots of what is operating the tour. First up we have SR West Country and Battle of Britain class 34046 Braunton is seen with a coach in tow speeding with the ecs move from Crewe to Preston and was going at a nice speed. Frost was still on the ground so once she passed the lingering smell of smoke lasted for a while which was nice. In the second shot around 1 hour later we get the passengers this time with Intercity swallow livery 90002 “Wolf of Badenoch” with BR green 47810/D1924 trailing. The train was only cruising heading for her next pickup point at Wigan station a few miles away.
This was a fun one to film as LSL always do have some of the nicest trains and certainly worth the early 0630 wakeup.
The official workings today
1. 34046 Braunton - 5Z14 Crewe H.S to Preston
2. 90002 & 47810 - 1Z15 Rugby to Carlisle
