45231 The Sherwood Forester at Bamfurlong - 07th June 2023
The steam locomotive was working the return leg of the "Fellsman" charter from Carlisle to Crewe with the train steam hauled to Chester. Intercity livery 47828 was at the rear to take the train home to Crewe. I believe this charter was supposed to be hauled by 46100 Royal Scot. I was pleased it changed.
This particular locomotive I haven't seen man times, so I was delighted to see her with a good crowd of other spotters down here tonight too. Hopefully Network Rail come down soon to cut the greenery back.
