56051 & 56090 at Bamfurlong - 14th August 2024
Colas Rail Freight Class 56 locomotives climb away from Bamfurlong Junction south of Wigan on the beautiful sunny afternoon of Wednesday 14th August 2024.
The class 56s were working the very early running Carlisle to Chirk logs timber train. The train was repathed down the WCML rather than it's usual route of the S&C line.
The train would wait briefly at Golborne before holding at Warrington. The filming is from the bridge as I'm still not using the classic position which needs network Rail to cut it back.
