47815 & 47826 Passes Springs Branch - 22nd July 2025
Tue train headed north in the morning via a reversal at Preston to then run via Blackburn and up to Carlisle via the Settle & Carlisle line. The return trip the fast route home down via Penrith and Carnforth over Shap Summit.
No steam hauled legs for this one which isn't that common maybe down to what's available and the richest steam bans. The train was thrashing a touch crossing onto the slows a few minutes late having just dropped more passengers off at Wigan.
