90044 & 90042 Passes Springs Branch - 29th November 2025
The class 90 combination were working the Daventry to Grangemouth container train seen usually along the slow lines. A fault with the signalling system in the Wigan North Western area meant absolute chaos including some Avanti services being diverted.
Having spent a combined 30 or so minutes sat at Bamfurlong and Springs Branch the train was allowed to proceed north. Network Rail response unit even stood next to me briefly looking onto the mainline.
