93009 Passes Springs Branch On Freight Train Test Run - 12th July 2026

Rail Operations Group tri-mode Class 93 locomotive 93009 is seen at the helm of a freight train seen heading north along the west coast main line and through Springs Branch on the gorgeous night of Sunday 12th July 2026.

The class 93 was working the Tesco container train from Daventry to Coatbridge. The train was in great form here running 5 early here having ran fast from Crewe to Bamfurlong Junction the train seemed to stop or slow to a crawl to the signal protection Springs Branch Junction.

We see here getting the power down again so smoothly and quickly. The performance figures for the class 93s are remarkably good
