66715 & 66779 at Bamfurlong - 24th December 2024
The class 66s were working the unusal cement train which thanks for problems around the Wolverhampton and Bescot area the previous day and was returning back north to Clitheroe as seen here.
Very rare to see top and tailed freight trains so it makes a nice change. Also haven't seen 715 for a few years too

A GBRF Class 66 locomotive, 66715 "Valour", was filmed at Bamfurlong on 24 December 2024 heading north along the West Coast Main Line. It was working a freight train returning from Wolverhampton to Clitheroe after experiencing traction issues the previous day. The video shows 66715 and 66779 "Evening Star" operating together on an unusual cement train service, which had been disrupted earlier between Stafford Road Junction and Avonmouth. This rare sighting of a top-and-tailed freight train was noted by the filmer.
