Trains pass by here bound for many destinations such as Leeds, Chester, Manchester Aiport, Victoria, Llandudno, Liverpool Lime Street, Barrow In Furness and Windemere as some trains use Parkside junction to access the WCML.
I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend a visit if you have the means of good transport. This was an 18-mile cycling round trip for me from where I live in Wigan. I would come back on but only for special trains.
