Ex TFW 769452 at Ince - 17th September 2025
The class 769 was working a slightly late running Bolton to Southport service having been cancelled between Manchester Oxford and Bolton due to late running service earlier.
There are two of these working for Northern but seems to break or sit in Springs Branch depot often.
Transport for Wales (TfW) introduced the Class 769 "Flex" units into service in November 2020 and withdrew the last of the fleet on May 19, 2023, meaning they were in service for approximately two and a half years. The units, converted from Class 319 electric trains, were intended to operate on the Cardiff to Rhymney line but faced significant delays before their limited introduction.Â
