47773 & 6233 Duchess of Sutherland - Settle and Carlisle Railtour - 12/03/22
We get two shots of the train, firstly in the morning we have D1755/47773 leading slowly north along the west coast main line and through Bamfurlong very slowly on the morning of Saturday 12th March 2022. The 47 was following a passenger train and a container train, so we get a lovely slow shot.
The second shot we get the Duchess storming and very cold dull and windy Wigan North Western with the return trip running 2-3 minutes late. Luckily a northern stopper didn't clash but did pull into the platform about 15 seconds after the train passed. This was a nice bonus, as a late schedule change meant the Duchess would run from Carlisle to Crewe instead of Hellifield. Probably to save an ECS pass. This is her first showing on my channel, I hope you enjoy
