The class 88 was working a Crewe to Carlisle light engine route learner here having come south earlier in the morning. Running a touch late behind late Avanti trains meant it clashes so a tighter shot.
Accelerating through the station the driver has no trouble building the speed for the climb to Boars Head and onwards towards Preston.
