Northern 156405 at Springs Branch - 30th July 2024
The class 156 was firstly seen heading north on one of the evening peak Manchester Victoria to Wigan North Western services. That train does call at Eccles on route and was large due to Avanti mainly.
I believe this is one of the former East Midlands Railways units too. The class 156 I have a soft spot for being one of the first trains I ever saw growing up and wouid see them at Prescot when I was going to school.
The train ended her service and was out to bed at Springs Branch using the vast track layout.
