43277 & 43257 Races Through Wigan - 10th February 2026
The very distinctive Colas Rail liveried locomotives were working the usual Network Rail tests train circuit from Derby to Carlisle which runs via the Cumbrian Coast Line. Putting the power down with a clear line ahead after the Blackpool express cleared.
My first visit onto the station in many months as with ticket barriers now in operation it's more of a faf to get onto the platforms.
I was actually on my way to Bryn to film a class 93 on a freight train test that video can be found here.
