In today's video we have a slightly unusual triple headed freight train heading north along the west coast main line at Bamfurlong on Saturday 19th June 2021. The triple helping of locomotives consisted of two class 66s with a class 88 at the rear. All the locomotives belong to Direct Rail Services. This train is usually just a solo class 88 hauled but this was a nice surprise as I was awaiting a class 47 special to come through. I was told the two class 66s were only added at Crewe. The train was working the regular “Tesco train” from Daventry to Mossend. I hope you enjoy the video and please subscribe.
