68023 at Ince Moss Junction - 09th December 2024
Running under a Rail Operations Group path the class 68 was working a big route learning circuit from Crewe to Carlisle.
Northbound running via Runcorn and Liverpool Lime Street and straight up the WCML. Returning south down the Settle & Carlisle like and home through Warrington.
She was running very slow here past the signal and onto the held just before the mainline for both booked Avanti services. Not often you get light locos down this line so a rare treat. This loco was previously in Trans Pennine livery now in the ScotRail/DRS hybrid.
This might have something to do with Northern 331 drags again but I'm very unsure.
More interesting locos down this line
