57012 & 57009 at Wigan North Western - 30th August 2023
The 57s were hauling some coaches from Carnforth to Southall seen running 11 early which meant clashing with an Avanti northbound typically that got out of the way with a moment spare meaning I got a tight shot.
57009 was converted from 47079, which was delivered as D1664. It was named George Jackson Churchward on 8/5/65. Along with 47484/500/628 and 50007 it received Brunswick green to celebrate GWR150 in 1985. The 47 was used for freight sector livery launch in 1987 at Ripple Lane.
