LMS Black Five 45212 at Wigan - 28th December 2023
The solo steam locomotive was working a light engine move from the Nene Valley Railway at Orton Mere in Peterborough to Carnforth with here eventually running to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and was running 14 late here thanks to chaos on the wcml with Avanti services heavily delayed north and south.
Usually steam engines on the main line at least have 1 coach known as a support coach with them so seeing a true light engine is a lovely treat and something I've not seen often myself.
Not a bad way to end the year or normal videos. Do love a Black Five I haven't seen this one for 3 years.
