45407 The Lancashire Fusilier at Bamfurlong - 03rd January 2025
The steam locomotive and support coach was working a light engine move from the West Coast Railways depot at Carnforth south east to the East Lancashire Railway for maintenance.
Having done her usual work up in Scotland on the Jacobite trains etc it is always nice to catch what is mh favourite of the Black 5s locomotives.
The train was 10 early here having paused at Preston and ran through her random Balshaw Lane pathing stop. Putting on a good show of steam here with only a few miles left before she'd turn off the mainline at Golborne and Parkside junctions to head east along the Chat Moss Line.
