70806 at Wigan North Western - 13th February 2025
The class 70 was working the Carlisle to Chirk logs train with the destination being the Kronospan processing plant at Chirk. Which is a lovely area and has a nice castle too.
The 70 being timed bang on with a clashiing northbound passenger train. I still don't understand why this train is lathed Infront of the Euston via Birmingham train these days when in the past it was the other way around.
Being fair today's train was routed via the WCML rather than the usual S&C route. Top Colas drive with tones and a wave. The train was slowing to cross onto the slows lines just around the corner.
