47593 & 47805 With Settle & Carlisle Circular Tour- 14th August 2024
The stunning class 47s were working the opening leg of Settle & Carlisle Circular (Statesman Rail) railtour from Telford to Appleby running over 10 early here in glorious form. The train would run a circle route via Blackburn and Settle & Carlisle line then swing south at Upperby Junction just south of Carlisle to take the west coast main line fast route home over Shap.
Haven't seen 47593 in a long while such a delight to see her again. I adore that livery.
