Double Steam 45596 & 44932 Passes Wigan - 30th September 2024
LMS Jubilee 45596 "Bahamas" is seen leading Stanier Class Black Five locomotive 44932 with a pair of support coaches 80204 and 14060 on a Kidderminster to Carnforth light engine move.
The locomotives had been down at the Severn Valley Railway for a gala. Typical of my luck at Wigan the slightly late running Avanti cleared in good time meaning I got a frustrating shot instead.
The steam engines had been held at Springs Branch for the Blackpool train too which as they were 5 early could of ran Infront.
Still a lovely long shot of the engines putting some steam on to begin the long climb towards Boars Head.
