66732 on The Britannic Explorer Passes Bamfurlong After Sunset - 25th November 2025

Description
GBRF Class 66 locomotive 66732 slowly heads north along the west coast main line through Bamfurlong south of Wigan 11 minutes after official sunset on the afternoon of Tuesday 25th November 2025.

The 66 was hauling the empty coaches for the Britanic Explorer train which is operated by GBRf locomotives and Belmond.

59003 was on the train all day but a late plan change meant she would after Warrington head west to Liverpool's Tuebrook Sidings annoyingly running via Earlestown twice to be dumped there so 66732 can haul the train northbound upto Scotland.

This was annoying as it delayed the train and retired her by over 2 hours meaning it would be dark and a wise filming location for myself.
Still better than nothing. I have left information about the train below. Those blue coaches look very snazzy in that livery.
