Join me for another action-packed day of railway photography and video, all filmed on Thursday 13th August 2026, with temperatures expected to reach a scorching 35Β°C! π₯΅βοΈ
We start the day at Abbotswood Junction, where we see 66771 working northbound on 4M56 04:53 Cardiff Docks RP GBRf to Wellingborough Up TC GBRf.
We then head to Worcestershire Parkway to wait for a very special working β the Northern Belle, hauled by 57601 and 57314 of West Coast Railways, working 1Z68 08:19 Birmingham International to Paignton. πβ¨
We then head over to the Severn Valley Railway, with all of the SVR content filmed at Kidderminster Town.
With the temperatures soaring and a steam ban in place on the Severn Valley Railway, the railway has a real diesel gala feel to the day, with a fantastic selection of classic diesel locomotives in action instead of the usual steam workings.
