47832 Crawls Through Springs Branch โ 28th June 2026
The class 47 was working and empty coaching stock move from Tyseley south of Birmingham north back to base at Carnforth. The train and stock were on "The Mazeyday Cornishman" tour from previous day which I believe was Dorridge to Penzance. WCR class 37s 37668/37669 at the rear wish operated the tour. The 47 was used as insurance as apparently 37668 was a faulty loco.
3 locos in unusual formation is nice to see. Wish it was the 37s on the front. The train was running late to Warrington and allowed to run tad early meaning the Liverpool to Blackpool train was right Infront slowing her down.
