37409 Thrashes Bamfurlong - 23rd April 2024
The stunning locomotive was hauling a short set of the ScotRail push pull set coaches from Fort William to base at Crewe with 37667 at the rear. The train had been up in Scotland working a pair of "Jacobite" trains from Fort William to Mallaig taking in the stunning views of scenery in Scotland, crossing bridges and viaducts, such as the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which was of course made famous for featuring in the Harry Potter films.
Those trains are usually worked by West Coast Railways but due to there legal battles over coaches they've little stock that's suitable currently.
Having run over an hour early through pathing stops she was due well before sunset but typically she was held at Preston for an hour meaning it was only around 8 early here. Typically she wants even booked to stop at Preston.
The noise made up for my frustrations
